John Baker
Fair Housing Program Manager
Mr. Baker joined the Equal Rights Center as Fair Housing Program Manager and worked in the field of fair housing for six years. Prior to joining the ERC, Mr. Baker was a Senior Project Coordinator at the National Fair Housing Alliance (NFHA). He was responsible for designing and supervising regional and national housing testing projects in accessible design, sales and rental. He was also involved in fair housing training, education and outreach efforts. Prior to his work in fair housing Mr. Baker worked in the insurance industry in several capacities such as Claims Investigator and Marketing Coordinator.
Mr. Baker is a native of the Washington, D.C. area and attended the University of Maryland, College Park where he received a B.A in Political Science and an M.S. in Nonprofit Management.
