Daniel Silver, Esq.
Board Member
Daniel B. Silver is a retired partner in the international law firm Cleary, Gottlieb, Steen & Hamilton, with which he practiced in Washington, D.C., Paris and Brussels. A long-time member of the board of the Disability Rights Council, he joined the board of the Equal Rights Center when the two organizations merged. He has been lead outside counsel on a number of disability rights cases on behalf of the Equal Rights Center and its predecessor, the Disability Rights Council.
In addition to private law practice, Mr. Silver’s professional background includes service as general counsel of both the National Security Agency and the Central Intelligence Agency, as well as general counsel of a select investigating committee in the House of Representatives. He is active in the Washington, D.C. cultural community, serving as president of the Vocal Arts Society and as a board member of The Textile Museum and the Master Chorale of Washington.
